Graham-London takes its name from founder George Graham (1673-1751) who was influential in the world of watchmaking. Mr Graham was a pioneer, introducing complications such as the first ever chronograph, the dead-beat cylinder escapement and the mercury pendulum. He was also creator of the Greenwich Royal Observatory Master Clock. Nowadays, Graham-London belongs to British Masters, an Anglo-Swiss company that also owns Arnold & Son. Despite Graham-London’s intentions to echo its tradition of making high quality, innovative timepieces, its modern-day productions are often large, bold and very contemporary. The new style has proved very popular. The brand’s revival includes sponsoring many sporting events and stars, such as the LA Kings ice hockey team.
