15 Years of Pioneering the Pre-Loved Luxury Market 

When Xupes was founded in 2009, the concept of pre-loved luxury was a niche idea. The luxury resale industry was in its infancy, and pre-owned products were often overlooked in favour of new, full-priced items. Amidst the global pandemic, we adapted to the shifting retail landscape, enhancing our online experience to offer a more personalised and seamless digital journey for our clients. During this time, Xupes was featured in Channel 4’s docuseries Second Hand for 50 Grand, which offered viewers a rare glimpse into the inner workings of our business. The series showcased the dedication, craftsmanship, and expertise that define Xupes, highlighting the meticulous process of sourcing, authenticating, and selling luxury items.

The show also introduced a wider audience to the idea of pre-loved luxury as a viable alternative to buying new, reinforcing our position as leaders in this space. The public’s response was overwhelmingly positive, further cementing Xupes’ reputation for quality and authenticity.

Milestones of Success: A Journey of Innovation and Growth 

Our 15-year journey is marked by key milestones that have shaped Xupes into the brand it is today. From solely focusing our offerings to jewellery and handbags, to our recent foray into accessories, we have continually evolved to meet the demands of our clients and the wider luxury market.

In 2022, we launched our Accessories Department, which has quickly become a cornerstone of our offering. Spearheaded by Debra Willis and Reece Morgan, the department includes a carefully curated selection of small leather goods, and other coveted accessories from the world’s most prestigious brands. Speaking about the department, Reece remarked, “Launching accessories was a natural progression for Xupes. We wanted to offer our clients even more ways to enjoy luxury, with a focus on iconic, timeless pieces that reflect our passion for quality and craftsmanship.”

This same year saw Xupes undergo a rebrand, reflecting our growth and evolution as a company. Debra Willis, who has been instrumental in driving our jewellery and accessories offerings, explained the significance of the rebrand: “Our rebrand was about more than just aesthetics. It was a statement of our commitment to transparency, authenticity, and sustainability. As we’ve grown, it’s been important to ensure that our values remain at the heart of everything we do.” 

 

Expanding Our Presence: Sandersons Concession in 2023 

In 2023, we took another exciting step by opening a concession at Sandersons Boutique Department Store in Sheffield. This marked the first time Xupes ventured outside of Hertfordshire, bringing our unique pre-loved luxury experience to the north of England. The Sandersons concession showcases a carefully curated selection of luxury handbags, jewellery, and accessories, allowing customers to discover our world-class offerings in person.

This expansion is part of our broader strategy to grow our presence in the UK and beyond, while continuing to deliver the exceptional client service and quality that Xupes is known for. 


Leading with Vision: Reece Morgan and Debra Willis 

Since 2022, Xupes has been led by Reece Morgan and Debra Willis, whose combined experience and vision have propelled the company into its next chapter. Reece, a former photographer and fashion stylist, brings a keen eye for design and a deep understanding of the luxury market. His expertise has been crucial in expanding Xupes.

Debra, with over 25 years of experience in retail—much of it in the jewellery industry—has played a pivotal role in shaping our jewellery and accessories collections. Her extensive knowledge and passion for pre-loved luxury have helped us create a jewellery offering that is both unique and timeless.

Together, Reece and Debra, alongside our talented team, have helped elevate Xupes, setting us apart from competitors through a focus on exceptional client service, guaranteed authenticity, and an unrivalled selection of pre-loved luxury items.
