Pre-owned Royal Oak Watches

The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak was first revealed at the annual Swiss watch show (now called BaselWorld) in 1972. Designed by the infamous Gerald Genta the Royal Oak featured a pioneering design with an octagonal bezel set with 8 screws and a ‘tapisserie’ dial. The watch was inspired by a diver’s helmet and therefore was named after the eight vessels of the British Royal Navy and the hollowed oak tree which King Charles II hid in to escape supporters of the Parliament during the English Civil War. A revolutionary watch which helped save the brand from financial crisis and has firmly remained one of their most iconic collections.
