In 1926, Rolex founder Hans Wilsdorf created the brand dubbed “Rolex’s little brother”. The idea was to make watches of similar quality to Rolex, but at more modest prices. Typically, they borrow the classic Rolex aesthetic, but house ETA movements. Although the brand still benefits from its association with its older sibling, it is still its own entity and produces many innovative and popular models. After its exodus from the US in 2004, Tudor has now re-launched itself on American shores, and is now selling in the UK too. A recent marketing drive meant it was one of the most popular watch brands of 2014.
