Our consignment service relieves you of the time, stress and hassle involved in selling your item privately. Our experts will appraise your item and agree a price with you; then we’ll photograph, prepare and list your item for sale on our website and other relevant platforms - whilst also handling all enquiries and requested viewings.
On completion of the sale, we shall deduct our fee plus any other agreed charges (such as servicing for example) and you receive the balance.
There is no upfront outlay and items are fully insured and stored securely throughout the process for your peace of mind.
How it works
Step 1 - Valuation
Simply fill out our pre-prepared form on our website, describing the item you wish to consign with as much detail as possible and providing a few photos - our departmental experts will start by analysing the market prices for your specific item and then contact you with a bespoke idea of pricing and commission for your specific piece.
When consigning a watch, in order to achieve the best price for your item, we will indicate any aesthetic or mechanical service work that may need to be carried out by our expert team of watchmakers. Polishing may also be considered for jewellery items to again facilitate achieving the best price. In these instances, this will be agreed on before any further progress is made.
Once agreed, we can provide a signed consignment agreement, dependant on inspection of the item.
Step 2 - Preparation
The item will then be professionally photographed and edited by our in-house creative team to give an accurate representation of the exact item. This will be done as soon as we can to ensure that the product is live on our website as quickly as possible.
Step 3 - List Item
Your item will be listed for sale on our website and other relevant platforms giving your item maximum exposure. Any enquiries will be fielded by our teams of sales executives. We will continue to track market prices whilst your item is with us, advising you on any changes in this time that may affect your item.
Step 4 - Receive Payment
Once an agreement has been made with the new owner, our dedicated consignment associate will inform you of the sale and upon completion of the 30-day return period, we will deduct our fee plus other agreed charges, and you receive the balance into the requested account.
