Pre-loved designer Accessories to make you sparkle this festive season

Not all that glitters is gold

If like us, you love to make an entrance, then the festive season really is the most wonderful time of year. When we reflect on 2019 we have seen a flurry of drama and the F/W shows have shown us that no matter how many years pass, embellishment will never be old hat.

We hope this fashion story helps inspire you to bring the sparkle to your dining room table on Christmas day or shine on into the new year. So whether you prefer a ‘subtle shimmer’ or a ‘glamorous glitter’, we have something for everyone at Xupes.

Gucci Gang

We were so inspired by Gucci’s energetic ‘Come as you are campaign’ we decided to re-create the theme by curating a collection of irresistible party accessories. If you have seen the campaign you’ll have seen all walks of life come together for the party of a lifetime; Iggy Pop, Sienna Miller & Gucci Mane to name a few on the guest list. Only one question - what would you wear to such an event?

Perhaps an 80’s, one shoulder two piece in fuchsia sequins, accompanied by our Chanel Gold Metallic Vintage Belt Bag around your waist. This look is a perfect showstopper!

Add some drama around the neckline with this Chanel 18k Yellow Gold & Amethyst Baroque Necklace.

For him, a plush velvet blazer with a silk star print shirt and glitter pinstripe trousers. It seemed only fitting to team our Gucci Sylvie Top Handle with this outfit whilst adding a final touch of decadence with our 36 diamond graduated stainless steel and yellow gold Rolex Datejust.

Disco Dreaming

Next up: 70’s disco nostalgia, and there is no need to look any further for inspiration than one of our most famous British singer/songwriters - Sir Elton John. Often seen in an array of flamboyant and daring ensembles, even Gucci’s Alessandro Michele confessed him as his muse for all intents and purposes. Elton’s outfits often transcend gender stereotypes and even today have an extremely influential presence in the fashion community. Bob Mackie otherwise known as ‘the Sultan of Sequins’ was the designer behind some of Elton’s most memorable costumes, and of course made them with feathers & sequins galore. Sir Elton, we salute you!

We were absolutely overwhelmed with excitement upon the arrival of our pre-loved Gucci Dapper Dan backpack. This piece has rich gold lizard detailing off-set against black and gold monogram. It seemed only right to pair it with something equally as exuberant as a gold metallic polka dot shirt & contrast olive green blazer.

Red for the holidays, this co-ord suit screams extroversion and paired down with a basic white tee - ding ding ding we have a winner! A little bit of 70’s disco played down by a touch of rock chic. When you thought it couldn't get any better, we boldly clashed it with our Chanel black satin and orange sequin flap bag from the Paris-Shanghai collection & our De Grisogono 18k yellow gold diamond Boule pendant necklace.

Steal The Show

Channelling A/W 19 Chanel, this look encompasses dark, subtle and shimmering ensembles.

Ruffles exude a sophisticated yet romantic silhouette so when choosing the accessories we decided to opt for oversized with our Chanel Chesterfield bag. The quilt is exaggerated giving it a luxurious and over the top look - totally fabulous! We added our Rolex Datejust 26 diamond and sapphire yellow gold watch to finish off the effect.

Our Gucci Backpack makes another appearance here showcasing the versatility of this piece. This time we created a more casual effect, in-keeping with the Dapper Dan campaign shot on the native youths of Harlem with a metallic thread t-shirt & leather jogging trousers.

We wish you a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year
