Here at Xupes, we have been watching some of our favourite trends from the nineties and the noughties make their way back around for another turn in the spotlight. From the Christian Dior Saddle Bag to the Louis Vuitton Cannes we are obsessed with these vintage classics.
Next into the spotlight has to be the Chanel Cambon. This collection is, perhaps, not to everyone's taste but if like many of us you were obsessed with the 2000s it girls, like the Hilton sisters or Lindsay Lohan, then this could well be the bag for you.
Inspired by the flagship store in Paris, Rue Cambon was named after a famous French revolutionary, the father of whom was a fabric manufacturer. The streets in which Rue Cambon are set were built after the French revolution. Opening its doors in 1910, Gabrielle Chanel opened her hat store on the street and later acquired the entire store in 1918. During the 1920s Chanel filled five stores on Rue Cambon Numbers 23 to 31.
Buying Chanel, or any other designer on the pre-owned market can be a daunting thought for many shoppers. So we have studied the anatomy of the Reporter to help you acquire your new Chanel handbag with complete confidence.
Also inspired by a classic utility bag, the Chanel Cambon Reporter features two front patch pockets, and two side patch pockets all with beautiful silver-tone CC turn locks. The bag also features dual rolled top leather handles with a convenient 27cm drop so the bag can be hand-held or shoulder carried.
The Reporter also features a signature flat back pocket, a top zip closure, and Chanel chain zipper pull. It is worth noting that a Cambon will never be manufactured in France it is always made in Italy. As a larger Chanel piece, the Reporter represents great value for money pre-owned considering the size and quality.
