Offered here is a beautiful example of the limited edition of only 1000 pieces of 18k yellow gold 39mm AP Royal Oak Jumbo.
The reference 14802.BA.00.0944BA.04 has a date display at 3 o’clock.
It has been nearly 50 years since the creation of the original Audemars Piguet Royal Oak and this now iconic watch is more popular than ever. First unveiled by Audemars Piguet in the 1970s and designed by Gerald Genta who also designed the Patek Philippe Nautilus, the Royal Oak has become a classic with its distinctive features and its role as a pioneer for a luxury sports watch.
Technical Details And Description
The case construction is a two-body type, polished and brushed, octagonal bezel set with 8 hexagonal nuts embanked in 8 screws on the case back, with angled lugs, transparent caseback, sapphire crystal Anthracite, clous de Paris decoration, applied luminous gold baton indexes, applied gold Audemars Piguet logo at the 12 o’clock position, outer white minute divisions, aperture for the date, luminous gold baton hands. Calibre type reference 2121 rhodium-plated, fausses cotes decoration 36 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, Gyromax balance adjusted for heat/cold, isochronism and 5 positions, shock absorber self-compensating flat balance spring and 21k gold rotor.
The overall condition of this Royal Oak Jumbo Jubilee Ultra-Thin example is excellent and must have been truly treasured by its previous owner.
The white Grande Tapisserie dial is an exquisite contrast to the yellow gold case and yellow gold hands along with the matching baton hour markers that are all flawless.
The polished and brushed finishes to the case, bezel ring and sapphire glass are free of any dings or scratches, enhancing the overall appearance of this stunning 39mm Royal Oak Jumbo.
The 18k yellow gold bracelet is in practically new condition and is fastened by a signature yellow gold deployment clasp.
