Our Opinion

The original Overseas collection was designed by a team that included Dino Modolo, an external watch designer, and Vacheron Constantin’s Vincent Kaufmann. Initially offered in 37mm, 35mm, and 24mm, this example represents the largest version of the original Overseas design and is powered by an automatic movement.
The dial on this Vacheron Overseas has a white baton, that provides a beautiful contrast to the yellow-gold hands and index markers.
This reference 42040 Overseas features a fantastic yellow-gold case with broad shoulders and an integral matching yellow-gold bracelet. The polished bezel, bracelet edges and case side contrast beautifully with the brushed surface of the case and bracelet.
The bezel has a specific cutaway profile, that is a homage to the shape of a Maltese Cross, the emblem of Vacheron Constantin. The crown guards on the right-hand side of the case extend the lines of the bezel.

This Vacheron Constantin Overseas reference 42040 is powered by the Vacheron Constantin calibre 1310 and is automatic with 27-jewels and includes a quick-set date function along with a 46-hour power reserve.
The overall condition of this Overseas 42040 is excellent and has only been worn on very special occasions by its previous owner.
This stunning Vacheron Overseas is accompanied by all its original factory accessories, including inner and outer boxes, manuals, and a guarantee certificate.
