Richard Mille History
After studying marketing in Besançon, Richard Mille (born 13 February 1951, Draguignan, France) started work at Finhor, a local watchmaking company in 1974.
The company was bought by Matra in 1981 and Richard Mille rose to manage Matra's watchmaking business, which included the brands Yema and Cupillard Rième. Matra's watchmaking activities were sold to Seiko.
Richard Mille left his mainstream employer in 1992 to start his watchmaking and jewellery company.
Richard Mille ‘BUBBA WATSON GREY BOUTIQUE LIMITED EDITION RM055 Description And Technical Details
The grey edition of the RM055 is a limited 50-piece edition that is a homage to the talent of the great American professional golfer Bubba Watson. The Boutique Grey RM 055 features a tonneau-shaped case that is 49.9 mm x 42.70 mm in dimension and 13.05mm thick with a rubberized grade 5 titanium case band and an ATZ ceramic bezel. The dial has a skeletonized baseplate and a fast-rotating barrel. The RM055 is assembled using 20 grade 5 titanium screws and abrasion-resistant washers in 316L stainless steel. It is powered by the manual calibre RMUL2 which has skeletonized movement and a power reserve of 55 hours. It comes with a double barrel system that improves torque stability over a longer period.
The overall condition of this RM055 is excellent. The 42 x 49mm TITANIUM case does not show any signs of wear and the overall finish is beautiful. The skeleton dial is in perfect condition and is complemented by the contrasting open baton-shaped hour and minute hands.
The grey rubber strap is also showing minimal wear and is in excellent condition, along with the TITANIUM deployment buckle.
