Our Opinion
Offered here is a truly excellent example of the Rolex GMT-Master II 16710 ‘Pepsi’ with a stick dial - manufactured 2006.
This Rolex GMT ‘Pepsi’ features the so-called and sought-after stick dial. This dial is most easily distinguishable through the way the II has been printed. The usual Roman 'II' of GMT Master II is replaced by two 'sticks', thus the nickname.
This GMT-Master II has the correct and rare Stick Dial for its Z096---- serial number range. The 16710 Pepsi GMT-Master II is a truly impressive Neo Vintage iconic piece, especially rare examples like this one with the sought-after Stick Dial.
The GMT-Master II reference 16710 stayed in production until 2007, making this watch one of the last ones produced. During this period, this reference went through substantial changes, such as changing from Tritium dials to Super Luminova dials and removing the pinholes from the case.
The overall condition of this GMT-Master II is excellent. The case has been lightly polished in the past but retains strong, equal lugs and crown guards along with the brushed finish to the top edges and chamfers being very well defined, the bezel and ‘Pepsi’ (red and blue) insert have no dings or marks complimenting the overall appearance of this iconic Stick Dial GMT-Master II.
The black gloss dial is in beautiful condition with no flaws either with the white gold surrounds and Luminova hour plot markers and hands that are all matching in colour. The sapphire glass is the correct flat type inclusive of the Cyclops date window for this model, it is also free of any scratches or blemishes.
The watch comes on the correct type of Rolex Oyster bracelet and solid end links. The bracelet is showing only light wear and minimal stretch.
This GMT-Master II is accompanied with all its original Rolex accessories inclusive of boxes, manuals, hang tags, calendar card and card holder and guarantee certificate.
