Offered here is a superb example of the rare Jaeger-LeCoultre Vintage 18k Yellow Gold Reference P450/4C with Gold/Champagne dial. Manufactured in the 1940s.
This stunning Jaeger-LeCoultre wristwatch is from circa 1946, with a solid 18K gold case, beautiful Art Deco dial and exceptional in-house movement calibre P450/4c.
The case with flat turn down lugs is in excellent condition, hallmarked with 18K/0. 750 stamps, with a diameter of 35mm without the crown, making the watch look outstanding on the wrist.
The caseback is hallmarked on the outer side along with the serial number and 18K/750 gold stamp on the inner side.
The beautiful sunburst dial with applied golden Arabic numerals and hour markers is stunning and shows only natural patina, the original gold sword hands are in excellent condition along with the crystal and crown.
The movement is running very strongly and keeps very accurate time for such a vintage piece. The serial number dates the watch to circa 1946.
This Jaeger-LeCoultre is presented on a quality brown alligator leather strap, which is adjustable up to 18cm, with a gold tang buckle.
Dimensions - Diameter without crown: 35mm Diameter with crown: 37mm Lug to lug width (length) 42,3mm Thickness: 9,7mm Lug width strap 18mm.
The 18k yellow gold case is superb and distinctive Art Deco design. This is a most charming and elegant mid-size Gents or ladies vintage wristwatch with a case diameter of 35mm.
This handsome, rare timepiece was at the very top end of Jaeger-LeCoultre’s production in the 1940s, designed to compete at the very highest levels and successfully retaining Jaeger-LeCoultre’s position amongst the very best of its Swiss and international competitors.
It also is accompanied with its original Jaeger-LeCoultre box.
