This second hand Glashutte watch has been fully inspected in house and is covered by the balance of the manufacturer’s warranty. If this warranty expires within 2 years Xupes guarantees the watch under our own warranty for the balance – please note this does not include accidental damage or negligence. Water resistance is only guaranteed in line with manufacturer's warranty.
The Saxony town ‘Glashütte’, near Dresden has been home to German watchmaking since 1845 when master watchmakers first settled to form an independent watchmaking industry. Within a stone's throw of each other, prestigious brands including A. Lange and Söhne, Moritz Grossman and Glashütte Orginal continue to drive the German watchmaking story. The latter, formed in 1994 can trace its roots back to the founding fathers and proudly champions their values and ideals, perfecting their manufacturing with state of the art advances in micro-engineering.
In pristine condition, this PanoLunar Tourbillon is the most exquisite example from the ‘Pano’ range. The name is derived from the 3 key complications on display, all stunningly executed. Perhaps most striking is the Flying Tourbillon, truly mesmerising as it rotates once per minute, regulating the watches timing. Seen by many as one of the most complex complications, this Tourbillon sits neatly at the 6 o’clock position in the ‘off centre’ hour and minute display. A tiny but beautifully blued pointer in the tourbillon also acts as a small seconds indicator. The crescent-shaped Luna display accurately tracks the moon as it waxes and wanes its way around the earth every 29 ½ days. Against a deep blue backdrop, the gold moon and stars provide a stunning contrast. Finally, a superbly legible ‘Big Date’ is elegantly framed in a Panoramic window near the 3 o’clock position.
The exhibition caseback on the reverse reveals the stunning spectacle of the Calibre 93-02 movement. On display are stripe finished bridges, beveled edges, gorgeous blued screws and a 21-carat gold oscillating weight – adorned with the ‘Double G’ logo paying homage to both modern and historic Glashütte craftsmen.
Encased in sumptuous 18k rose gold, and with box and papers, this timepiece will undoubtedly please the most demanding of watch connoisseurs.
