In 1904, Oris opened its first watch factory; by 1969 it was one of the ten largest watch companies in the world. Despite falling down the ranks a little since then, it continued to supply excellent quality timepieces at good value for money. Ten years later, Oris had a hiatus from making in-house movements until the release of the Calibre 110 in 2014, which marked the brand’s intent to return to its former heights. Oris’s watches are primarily of the sporting variety, this explains why it has collaborated with the BMW Williams Formula 1 team since 2003. Alongside its performance pieces is the popular Jazz range, which includes watches such as the limited edition Dizzy Gillespie model.
