Concord, a Swiss watch brand dating back to 1908, produces just a few thousand timepieces per year. The company concentrates on making highly technical, innovative timepieces. In its first few decades, Concord tailored its watches to the US market where it became well known in exclusive circles. Famously, at the Potsdam conference in 1945, Winston Churchill and Joseph Stalin received Concord watches as gifts from US president Harry Truman. Other Concord landmarks include the release of the Delirium in 1979, which was then the world’s thinnest analogue watch at just 2 mm thick. More recently, its C-lab collection, an extraordinary, unique line of watches, won the prestigious “Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Geneve” as “Best design of the year 2008”.
