  • We offer this exceptional antique Doulton Lambeth three handled tyg with scroll and floral designs designed by Arthur Barlow and Mary Ann Thomson dated 1876. The stoneware tyg is of cylindrical shape standing on a flat rounded base with three moulded handles attached around the body. The tyg is decorated with a scrolling white bead design with raised flower heads and incised leaves painted in blue and white on a brown ground with an irregular textured pattern. A formal border is applied around the top rim with a natural salt glazed finish and the handles are each moulded with two grooves and painted with blue designs on a brown ground. The tyg has an incised Doulton Lambeth mark containing the date 1876 along with incised ABB monogram for Arthur Barlow and incised MT mark for Mary Ann Thomson along with assistant marks for Louisa Ayling and Kate Giblin.
