  • We offer this stunning antique Caucasian Kindjal dagger and scabbard with horn grip and silver filigree scabbard set with turquoise jewels dating from the 19th century. The dagger has finely made steel blade with a central ridge to either side with etched scroll and fish designs to one side and with Islamic script to the opposite side. The dagger has a two part bone handle with decorative gilt metal strapping around the edge and with three decorative studs or pins attaching the blade and handle. The Kindjal comes with its original silver metal scabbard applied to one side with finely scrolling silver floral filigree work set with turquoise jewels and with a gilded finish. The scabbard has various decorative panels, some with niello work to the reverse side along with a signed shield. The scabbard has a raised belt hoop applied around the upper body again with applied decorative designs. The scabbard is signed to the back with script to the blade.
