  • We offer this fine early antique Aesthetic Movement lidded bathroom box, probably for toothbrushes, made by Brown-Westhead, Moore & co and dating from around 1864. The earthenware lidded box is of long rounded boat shape standing on a narrow oval shaped foot with a slightly recessed base with a recessed dome cover with central knop handle. The body of the box and cover is printed with decorative panels set within a key design border with scroll designs and printed in white on a brown glazed ground. The cover has an impressed makers mark with both sections with a printed design number D2791 and the base of the dish with a moulded registration diamond mark.
