  • We offer this stunning antique/vintage Chinese boxed inkstone carved in relief with three immortals within a landscape set within a dragon surround to the top and with a Dog of Fo to the base both with script and seal marks dating from the 19th or early 20th century. This unusually carved inkstone is carved as a raised stand with a top recess on a centrally raised panel carved in relief with three immortals sat on a bed of leaves beneath a tree with a burning lamp nearby. Chinese script and seal marks are applied around the edge with the lower section carved with dragons and elephants. The designs are coloured in gilding, red and blue and set against the black ground of the stone. The stone stands on a series of carved legs and the recessed base is carved in relief with a large Fo dog again set with Chinese script and seal marks. These are gilded with the seal mark in red.
