  • Condition The teapot is offered in fine presentable condition however has a replacement handle and spout and is missing its cover. There are a few small firing cracks around the inner top edge of the teapot with a couple extending as very fine hairlines. Product Details

  • An unusual antique Chinese teapot, probably Kangxi, decorated with wheel and floral designs and dating from the early 18th century. This finely made porcelain teapot is of rounded shape standing on a narrow rounded unglazed foot with recessed base. The teapot has a replacement handle and silver metal spout and is decorated in underglaze blue with over-painted red and gilded designs with two large fan shaped wheel designs to either side set with trailing floral designs and with a formal painted border around the top edge which is unglazed to the inner rim. The teapot is not marked.
