  • We offer this superb and stylish pair art nouveau Doulton Lambeth vases with trailing stipple, heart and floral designs by Maud Bowden and dating from around 1902. This fine pair of stoneware vases stand on a wide skirted rounded foot with a recessed base with a small shaped rounded body and a funnel shaped neck with a trumpet top. The body of the vases are decorated with a raised trailing white stipple design on a mottled blue ground with tube lined floral and heart designs applied around the neck with similar small flower heads applied around the body. These have a white slip outline and are painted in pink and yellow glazes with a mottled pale blue ground around the neck and mottled brown glazes to the inside top. The vases have impressed Royal Doulton marks along with incised MB for Maud Bowden to one vase and with other unidentified marks to the other.
