  • We offer this rare and exceptional antique Chinese Cantonese carved ebony jewelry casket shaped box decorated with figural panels and elevated on four mask carved feet dating from the 19th century. This very finely made wooden casket stands raised on four scroll and mask carved feet with carved extending borders above and below and deep relief carved panels raised centrally on each side with carved banding to each corner and with a large panel carved to the top of the box. The panels portray scenes from Chinese life with buildings and trees set with various figures in varying activities. The box has a hinged cover revealing a felt lined lift out tray with a deep compartment below. The box has a lock located to the front however has no key. The box is not marked.
