  • We offer this rare and quality pair antique Doulton Lambeth art pottery vases decorated with stylised floral designs by Isabella Miller and Alice Longhurst dated 1884. These elegantly bottle shaped stoneware vases stand on a narrow rounded foot with wide squat rounded bodies, long narrow necks and with a wider bowl shaped top. Both vases are decorated with stylised incised floral designs repeated around the body and set against a key design ground with raised bead work. Acanthus leaf and scallop shaped designs are applied around the lower body with leaf and other designs applied around the neck. The vase is decorated in brown and green glazes on a part salt glazed ground. Both vases have impressed Doulton Lambeth makers marks along with incised IM monogram for Isabella Miller with impressed makers mark for Alice Longhurst along with several other assistant marks. Both vases are dated 1884.
