  • We offer this very rare Art Deco Royal Doulton advertising figure of a begging dog made in limited and numbered edition for Stauffer Son & Co. and is dated 1929 . The dog is mounted on a square pedestal base and sits with its front paws raised in a begging position with a sugar lump balanced on its nose. The base is marked REGD, TRADE MARK THE MARK OF CONFIDENCE STAMPED ON WATCHES. to two sides of the base with THE PROPERTY OF STAUFFER SON & Co. 13 CHARTERHOUSE ST. LONDON E.C.1. stamper to the back. The dog is also marked No. 1447 to the side. The dog has a green stamped Royal Doulton mark to the base and has an impressed date mark for 1929.
