Product Details

  • We offer this finely carved antique/vintage Chinese carved soapstone figure of Buddha Ho Shang with three boys mounted on a carved wooden lotus leaf hard wood stand dating from around 1900 or slightly later. This well carved seated figure is carved from an orange beige coloured stone (probably soapstone) and is carved holding beads in one hand and a bat in the other. The three boys are carved, one sitting on the shoulder of the Buddha with a further standing figure supported by the beads and another carved admiring the bat. The figure is very well carved with excellent detail and sits on a well carved fitted hard wood stand. The carving is not marked.
