  • We offer this unusual and superb antique Chinese miniature lidded jar and stand decorated in brown eel skin style glazes with a four character Xuande reign mark and dating from no later than the Kangxi period 1662 – 1722. This finely made rounded porcelain jar stands on a narrow rounded unglazed foot rim and has a narrow raised top with a simple domed cover. The vase is decorated in a brown tea dust style glaze applied over a red flambé ground and has a four character Xuande mark in underglaze blue to the base. The jar has a simple domed cover with an unglazed rim. The jar comes complete with a well carved wooden stand and dates from the Kangxi period.
