  • We offer this large and stylish antique Italian Savona faience hand painted dish with classical figural scenes with makers marks for Girolamo Salomini and believed to date from the 18th century. The large rounded shallow earthenware dish has a shaped and moulded rim and is hand painted with a central figural scene with lovers around an ornate and classically designed fountain. The scene is painted in brightly coloured enamels with floral garlands to the forefront and set within a gilded scrollwork border. The rim of the plate is painted with small floral garlands with feathered and coloured edges. The plate has a GS painted either side of a shield mark to the base for Girolamo Salomini.
