  • We offer this superb limited edition lidded bowl commissioned by retailers Thomas Goode & Co to commemorate the achievements of Winston Churchill on his 90th birthday in 1964. The elegant and stylish twin handled porcelain bowl, or vase as it is referred to in the accompanying paperwork, is richly decorated in cobalt blue, gold and raised gold Showing a portrait of Sir Winston Churchill, recording his birth, family crests, office as Prime Minister, and his citizenship of the United States of America. This lion handled bowl was made by Abbeydale New Bone China Company of Duffield in Derbyshire and was made in an edition of 250 of which this is number 135. The original selling price for this piece was £75.00 in 1964 and was the most expensive Churchill commemorative piece offered by Thomas Goode. The lidded bowl is extensively marked and numbered.
