Product Details

  • We offer this rare and finely made antique Cambodian silver handled basket with a ribbed and scroll work design and with a twist handle. The basket made in the 18th or early 19th century is lightly made and is of rounded form with a flat base and with a shaped rim. The body of the basket has a relief moulded rib design with a finely patterned scroll work border around the top edge with a small shield shaped cartouche which has a feint engraving reading F McD. A twist pattern swing handle is attached through two holes to either side of the basket and the basket is not marked.
