Product Details

  • We offer this superb antique Chinese porcelain lidded teapot decorated with floral garden designs dating from the early 18th century. The rounded bullet shaped teapot stands on a narrow rounded foot and has a straight pouring spout and a loop handle. The teapot has its original domed lid which sits within the top recess. The body of the teapot is hand painted with a garden with terracing with various flowering shrubs with a simple feather designed border around the top rim of the teapot. The design is repeated on both sides and simple decorations have also been applied to the handle. The lid is similarly painted with floral sprigs and is unglazed to the underside. The teapot rim and foot are also unglazed. The teapot is not marked.
