  • Condition The teapot is offered in fine original condition without restoration. There are a few very minor glaze chips and a very fine hairline to the inside rim of the pot although this does not appear to extend through to the outside and is probably from use. A very fine example and certainly a wonderful addition to any serious collection!  View More Details

  • We offer this exceptional antique English majolica teapot decorated with floral designs and dating from the 19th century. The earthenware teapot stands on a narrow oval shaped foot with a flat moon shaped body with a moulded spout to one side and moulded handle to the opposite side. The body of the teapot is relief moulded with a single floral and scroll work design repeated on both sides of the teapot and has a recessed oval shaped dome lid to the top. The teapot is very well defined and hand painted in brown, green, pink and yellow against a blue ground. The teapot has a painted makers mark to the base and probably originates from Staffordshire.
