Product Details

  • We offer this very rare antique porcelain Rockingham cabinet trio with a tea cup, coffee cup and saucer the cups moulded in fine relief with a leaf design and believed to date from around 1826. The set comprises of two cups one shallower and wider standing on a conical foot while the other, a coffee cup is narrower and taller but with a similar foot. Both have intertwined twig handles and both have exceptionally well moulded leaf, probably cabbage, to the body of the cups. The incredible detail can be fully appreciated when held to the light. The cups have gilded designs to the rims and handle with similar designs applied to the raised edged rounded saucer. The saucer has a printed puce mark with the words ‘Rockingham Works Brameld Manufacturers to the King’ printed below. It also has a hand painted pattern number 655 which also corresponds to the cups.
