This is an original pastel drawing on paper titled 'Bobby Cat' by artist Brian Ayling. Donated by the artist himself, for our Celebrity Charity Sale, in partnership with The Wild at Heart Foundation. Ayling's paintings are heavily influenced by seventeenth century Dutch art and have a dark, Northern European style and pervading sense of unease. They reflect the claustrophobic atmosphere of the inner-city and a recurring theme is the North London park where he routinely walks his two Whippets. Ayling's work has been widely shown, including the John Moores and Whitechapel Open Exhibitions and he has paintings in private collections in the UK, Europe, the United States and Mexico. All proceeds from the sale of this item will be donated to the Foundation, helping to compassionately reduce the world's 600-million stray dog population.
We have teamed up with Nikki Tibbles, world-renowned florist and founder of the Wild at Heart Foundation to give you the chance to shop exclusive pieces donated by some of your favourite celebrities. All proceeds raised from the sale will be donated to the Wild at Heart Foundation, helping to compassionately reduce the world's 600-million stray dog population.
The #xupesxwahf celebrity charity sale is a curated collection of luxury designer items donated by a number of high profile public figures. Items included are a bespoke Ralph Lauren jacket that was made bespoke for model David Gandy to wear during the 2016 Wimbledon Championships, a Coach handbag worn by Stranger Things actress Millie Bobby Brown during New York Fashion Week, and a pair of Stuart Weitzman heels worn and signed by Kate Moss.
"We are so proud to be supporting the Wild at Heart Foundation who do fantastic work highlighting the welfare of dogs around the world. WeÕre an office full of animal lovers, so we could not think of a better partnership, and have been big supporters of the charity since the beginning. The Wild at Heart Foundation is very close to home for us as we adopted our very own office dog, Martin, from them in early 2017."
