  • Condition The vase is offered in excellent overall condition without restoration. There is a very small surface chip to the underside of the lid with a small chip on the finial tip. There is some gilding loss to the top rim, one handle and around the base rim although this does not detract.   • A stunning and substantial antique Royal Worcester blush ivory twin handled lidded vase hand painted with floral designs with date mark for 1893. This fresh to market vase originates from a private estate and is numbered 1398. It is recorded in Royal Worcester Porcelain by Henry Sandon as designed in 1889. This tall elegantly shaped vase stands on a square pedestal foot moulded with Bacchus heads set within floral scroll work panels. The body of the vase is hand painted with Chrysanthemums with raised gilding against an ivory ground. The decoration is painted to two sides with elegant raised handles and heavy relief moulded designs of drapes supported by serpents with lion head masks applied to the shoulders. The vase has a domed lid with, again with moulded designs and raised finial. The vase has a printed puce Royal Worcester mark to the base along with a registration number and date marks for 1893. A very substantial and decorative vase and a wonderful display piece to add to any serious collection!
