  • Condition The vase is offered in excellent overall condition without loss. The vase has had a minor professional restoration to the neck and the finial has been professionally reattached to the lid. Product Details

  • We are delighted to offer this superb antique Chinese Famille Rose lidded vase exceptionally decorated with two scrolling dragons set against a turquoise ground and dating from the latter 18th or 19th century. The elegantly shaped porcelain baluster vase is superbly well decorated with two dragons set amidst flowering stems with wonderful vibrant colours in the well detailed blooms. The dragons too are very finely detailed with one in rose and the other blue bodied with the whole vase finished with a turquoise ground. A border is painted around the foot and also around the shoulder of the vase with small decorative panels containing flower heads in coloured enamels against a white ground. The vase comes complete with its original lid also similarly decorated with a small Dog of Fo finial. The vase is not marked but is a fine example to add to any serious collection!
