Product Details

  • 19th C. British painter Emily Nicholson, had a successful career as a Watercolourist and often painted in the context of topography, houses and water/landscapes. She exhibited 12 times at the Royal Academy and also at the Royal Watercolour Society. Her work shows intricate and expressive characteristics, that alongside her classic composition of framing and depth in painting, makes this piece a true testament to Nicholson's talents. The Painting shows boats in calm waters in a picturesque landscape, whilst birds flock from the right portion and the scene is flanked by rock-faces and further rocky ground in the background.
