We offer this rare antique silver snuff box mounted with mother of pearl and horn and believed to date from around 1730. The snuff box is clam shell shaped and has a hinged lid the body inlaid with panels of mother of pearl applied with hand carved decorations and inset into a tortoiseshell ground. The snuff box has a later velvet lining and is typically not marked.
